Endless Inspiration by the Sea
The coast inspires me every day. As a result, I have built a large collection of coastal photos. I capture both the Dutch coast and coastlines abroad. You will see quiet mornings with soft light. In contrast, there are also wild storms with high waves. Each time , my goal is to tell the story of where the sea meets the land.
The Dutch Coast in Focus
In Zeeland, I find new places to photograph almost every day. For example, the lighthouse in Breskens, the boulevard in Vlissingen, and the sea dike at Westkapelle are well-known sights. I also capture the wide beaches of Domburg, the Delta Works at Neeltje Jans, and the natural beauty of Schouwen-Duiveland. In addition , the South Holland islands near Ouddorp are among my favourite locations.
Many of these photos are made as wide panoramas. This way, they show the space, peace, and unique light of the Dutch coast.
Rugged Shores of the United Kingdom
Outside the Netherlands, I search for wild and natural shores. For instance, the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England, is one example. Its cliffs are millions of years old old, and its bays change with the tide. Moreover, I have photographed the coast of Northumberland as well as the rocky shores of Scotland and Wales. In each case , these locations show the true power of the sea and wind.
From Calm to Storm
My coastal photography is very diverse. On one hand, some images are calm and dreamy. On the other hand, others are strong and dramatic, with rough seas and dark skies. Therefore , this variety makes the collection personal. Everyone can find their own connection to the sea.
