At Neeltje Jans, Vlissingen, and Westkapelle, the sea shows its raw power. Dark clouds build up and high waves crash against the shore. Therefore, a dynamic scene unfolds that keeps you captivated. In addition , splashing foam and the sound of the wind create an intense atmosphere.
Peaceful Mornings by the Coast
In contrast to these storms are the quiet mornings at Neeltje Jans. Early in the day, when the light is soft, the world seems to slow down. This way, the images breathe calm and space. Moreover, the Dutch coastline offers spectacular scenes at both sunrise and sunset. Because of this , the shifting light constantly brings new colours and shadows.
Magic of the Forest and Historic Charm
In the Mastbos forest near Breda, sunlight filters through the trees, casting golden rays along the paths. As a result, a fairy-tale atmosphere appears. On the other hand , the historic heart of Bruges buzzes with life, where narrow streets and old facades make the past tangible.
Winter Light and and Windmills
An icy morning at the windmills of Kinderdijk brings crisp air and shimmering ice. Consequently, the national heritage gains an extra dimension. Moreover , water and winter light enhance each other’s beauty.
Natural Highlights Abroad
My favourites also include foreign landscapes. For example, the waterfalls at Wallgau in Germany roar with strength, while England’s Golitha Falls sparkle among the green. In addition, Portland Bill in Dorset offers a rugged coastline with an imposing lighthouse. Finally , Derwentwater in the Lake District creates a picturesque scene at sunset, radiating peace and warmth.
