Haringvliet
Welcome to my page about the Haringvliet. This remarkable delta waterway in South Holland and Zeeland is where nature, water, and birdlife come together. With its expansive shores, mudflats, and sandbanks, the Haringvliet offers space and tranquillity.
Connected to the North Sea, it serves as an important stopover for migratory birds. Along its shores, nature reserves invite you to enjoy the sound of birdsong, the whisper of reeds, and the movement of the tides. At sunrise and sunset, the scenery transforms into a canvas of soft colours and shimmering reflections.
As a photographer, I am constantly inspired here: a sailboat gliding over sparkling waters, a bird soaring gracefully above the surface, or the stillness of a calm day.
On this page, I share my photographs and stories of the Haringvliet. Together, they reveal the beauty, serenity, and power of this unique body of water.
