Hansweert
Welcome to my page about Hansweert. This charming village on the Westerschelde sits where land and water meet. Hansweert is known for its busy shipping routes and historic lock complex.
From the dike, large sea vessels pass surprisingly close. It is a sight that fascinates every time. On the inland side, peaceful paths lead along small harbours and green floodplains. These routes invite walkers and cyclists to enjoy the scenery.
Each season gives Hansweert a different face. Summer days bring bright sunlight that makes the water sparkle. In winter, mist creates a calm and dreamy atmosphere.
As a photographer, I look for the small stories here. Reflections in the water, ships moving steadily through the current, and the constant change of the tide all catch my eye.
On this page, I share photographs and blogs about Hansweert. Together, they reveal the atmosphere of a coastal village where nature and maritime life stay closely connected.
