Nieuwpoort is a fortified town, located in the municipality of Molenlanden, at the river Lek. This city is perhaps the smallest fortified city we know in the Netherlands. And then it also has city rights. Highly recommended to visit this small fortress and walk through it.
On a beautiful spring evening I was standing at one of the smallest fortified towns in the Netherlands, namely Nieuwpoort in Zuid-Holland.
