Breskens

Welcome to my page about Breskens. This vibrant coastal village in West Zeeland Flanders is known for its wide beaches, distinctive fishing harbour, and sweeping views over the Western Scheldt. Breskens is where maritime heritage meets natural beauty.

The harbour is the beating heart of the village. Fishing boats dock here daily, bringing in fresh fish, and the authentic maritime atmosphere is palpable. Along the beach, dunes and pavilions alternate, while the horizon is animated by passing ships.

Each season offers a different view of Breskens: lively summers filled with tourists and sailing boats, and quiet winters where only the waves and seagulls break the silence.

As a photographer, I find endless inspiration here. Sometimes it’s the warm evening light over the harbour; other times it’s the dramatic play of clouds over the sea.
