Westerschelde
Welcome to my page about the Westerschelde. This impressive estuary connects the North Sea to the port of Antwerp, offering a breathtaking landscape. Along its shores lie vast sandbanks, mudflats, and salt marshes. The changing tides shape its appearance from hour to hour.
As a photographer, I am inspired by these shifting conditions. In the early morning, a soft mist often hovers above the water, revealing large vessels as they approach. During the day, sunlight dances on the waves. In the evening, warm colors stretch across the horizon. Stormy days show the Westerschelde’s power and energy, while calm days bring an almost meditative stillness.
On this page, you will find my photographs and blogs about the Westerschelde. They capture the beauty, diversity, and strength of this remarkable place.
Take your time to browse through the images and stories. Experience the Westerschelde through my eyes — a place where nature, water, and people exist in harmony.
