Welcome to my page about the Alblasserwaard — a distinctive polder region in South Holland where nature, history, and tranquility meet. This area, bordered by the rivers Lek, Noord, and Merwede, offers endless views of meadows, windmills, and waterways.

 

The Alblasserwaard features picturesque landscapes shaped by centuries-old dikes and winding canals. These elements tell the story of the Dutch battle against water. Cycling and walking routes lead to iconic sights such as Kinderdijk. There are also hidden paths where peace prevails and birds find shelter.

 

Every season reveals a new side of the Alblasserwaard. Spring brings fresh green fields. Autumn turns the land into warm golden tones. In winter, serene scenes reflect in still waters.
